Jay Glaspy, PMP

A quiet professional with a very diverse background and skill-set. Jay performs at a very high-level in any endeavor he decides to pursue. His professional experience spans a distinguished career in the military, project management, entrepreneurship, and the music industry. Most notably, Jay honorably served in the United States Army for 20 years with 15 years in Special Forces where he served 5 tours in Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor in 2013.
Jay is the owner of Xen Live, a next generation entertainment company serving the Washington DC metro area. He is the primary point of contact for booking, project inquiries, and event management. His company was selected as one of the top vendors in the DC area by TheKnot.com and maintains several premier clients to include Leidos, the Special Forces Charitable Trust, City of Fairfax, and The Town of Haymarket, VA.
Jay also the owns a leadership and management consulting company Xen Global Solutions where he provides his extensive advice and expertise to clients nationwide. Jay's military leadership experience has enabled him to provide a plethora of lessons learned from his 5 combat tours in Afghanistan where he led multiple units at the tactical and operational level. His career culminated at the Company First Sergeant within the Special Activities Battalion at SWC.
Jay is also an accomplished bassist (http://www.xeonesbass.com) where he has performed on 5 albums. His experience in the music industry involves event planning, audio engineering, and production. He is a co-founding member of DC based rock band Schreiner (www.schreinermusic.com) along with multi-instrumentalist John Schreiner and regularly performs in the mid-Atlantic region.
Lastly, Jay is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from American Military University (AMU), and attends Northern Virginia Community College as a music/music technology major. He is a member of the Haymarket-Gainesville Rotary Club, The Haymarket-Gainesville Business Association, ASCAP, and the Project Management Institute.
